Motor handout procedure OEPS 2014

During the handout the teams will receive 1 set of trued tyres, between 27,3 and 27,6mm in diameter. These tyres may not be treated with anything apart from being cleaned with tape.

Each team will also receive 1 motor. This motor has been broken in (run in) and oiled by the organisation. NO additional oil is allowed.

This means that the teams have to oil the parts that need oil (bearings etc) before they enter the car in Parc Ferme.

No oil is allowed on the table.

Motor testing procedure OEPS 2014

After the handout all teams will receive a scheduled time to test their motors. This will be 10 minutes on 1 randomly chosen lane. During this motortest it is again NOT allowed to oil the motor. Work on the car is allowed but only under supervision from the organisation on a designated worktable. This is to allow the teams to make sure their motor and gearing mesh is properly setup.

Warm up procedure OEPS 2014

No team is allowed to touch their car during warmup. During the warmup the organisation will make sure there are enough officials present to clean the tyres during the warmup. No other work is allowed. No fixing of spoilers, no oiling, no braid cleaning, no nothing ...

Warmup is only allowed to ‘warm up’ the tyres and track. Not to work on the cars.

Not obeying this rule leads to a Parc Ferme infringement penalty.

Officials can not be held accountable for damaging the car in any way and thus the team will not receive any time or laps back.

Lane changing procedure OEPS 2014

The teams are responsible for changing their own car to the next and correct lane once the race has started. During the lane change only the number sticker may be changed, and the braids may be adjusted by hand. Only adjusted, not cleaned, not changed and not turned over.

Not obeying this rules leads to a Lane Change infringement penalty.

Controllers OEPS 2014
